I'm new to this thing so be gentle...

The following is a taper from Richard Walkers Rod Building For Amateurs
printed in 1952

I've done a few of his 7 ft rods  
There are some very popular coarse/carp rod tapers that he developed
as well as being an author. 
So people who aren't in to cane have often heard of him.
