I am not, at this point, all that keen on discussing Bangla Desh and test 
matches either!

Seriously, the taper I use is the one posted to this list by Denis Higham; 
it differs quite significantly from the other versions of the 101, and is in 
my opinion easily the best performer.  People seem to like using this taper. 
One of our very prominent Australian fly fishing personalities is Peter 
Hayes, a many time national distance and accuracy caster,  and one of our 
leading guides.  I made one for him a couple of years ago, and he is loud in 
his praises of the taper, and this is a bloke who knows his rods.  I am in 
he process of making seven rods at the moment, and five of them are DH 
101's.

It has long been my favourite rod taper, but I must confess that I am having 
a burgeoning love affair with the Garrison 206, which on the face of it does 
not have a show of out-performing the 101, but which holds its own 
surprises.

At the moment, it could go either way.

If you cannot find the figures, Stephen, I am more than happy to post them 
for you..  Just let me know.

Oh, heck, nearly forgot - I use a 14/12 step down ferrule.  It is a pain in 
the bum to fit, but I think worth the trouble.
