This doll casts a #4 and maybe a #3 if you really want to believe... Here are the numbers MEASURED OVER VARNISH, I'd go with Jack Howell as he consistantly recommends removing .006 for Payne tapers in his book. 1 .072 5 .086 10 .098 15 .114 20 .128 25 .136 30 .150 35 .160 40 Ferrule 45 .186 50 .202 55 .224 60 .242 65 .264 At Handle .0293 Bottom of ferrule on butt .174 Top of ferrule on tips .158 Yes, .158 is less than the .160 further up the rod at 35 inches from the tip. Both tips have the .158 at the ferrule, and on the second tip is where the repair is that I am working on. I plan to think of the 35 inch station as staying flat through the ferrule (at 37" from tip) Oh yes, Guides! 6 snakes plus stripper: Butt measuting from butt cap (downlock SL) Striper-37 1/2 Snake base of ferrule 37" Tip guides measuring from end of ferrule male (at moisture cap) 1) 6 1/8 2) 13 3/4 3) 20 7/8 4) 27 9/16 5) 33 3/4 What did I forget?
