Re Spey rod - Bob Maulucci

Okay, here is how I believe the Powell formula C10 4/5 1/5 works:
Tip size is .100, strip would be .050
Add 10 and 4/5 thousandths(.0108) to the first six inch station. 
Add 10 and 4/5 thousandths less 1/5 thousandth(.0002) the next station. 
Add 10 and 4/5 thousandths less 2/5 thousandth (.0004) to the next
station.
Continue adding and subtracting.

Another way to conceptualize this would be to add 10 and 4/5 thousandth
to the first one and continue always adding .002 less than the previous
time. (MY MATH MAY BE WRONG)

Remember these are six inch stations and they are using strip
dimensions. Also, according to the experts you won’t achieve the true
Powell taper anyway because his saw and your hand plane will have cut
this theoretical taper differently.
