Dave - There are several tapers floating around for the Perfectionist - =
one is a .275 butt and the other is .285 - the version that i obviously =
prefer is the following:
0 .070
5 .081
10 .094
15 .115
20 .134
25 .146
30 .155
35 .170
40 .192 =20
45 .203
50 .214
55 .225
60 .238
65 .247
70 .258
75 .268
80 .275
85 .275
90 .275
I suspect that all makers altered their tapers for special clients or =
that there were milling errors that made it out the door - but it seems =
that perhaps there was more experimentation that came from the Young =
shop - a special example of this is the mysterious Para 14 - the story =
was that the morning Paul died he was going to meet up with Ernie =
Schweibert and finalize which length the rod was to be - today it is =
offered as a 7' 9" version but Chauncey Lively - who lived many years in =
the Grayling area - had a 7' 6" version - another even deeper mystery is =
the Para 13 - of which I only know of one in existance - it too was a 7' =
9" example
