Parabolics on the Rodmaker's Archive:

Payne 200 8 ft 4 wt
Cattanach 8053 8 ft 5 wt
Paul Young Para-15 8 ft ?
A.J. Thramer 8 ft 4 wt
Cattanach 7643 7 ft 6" #4
Grainger Aristocrat 8 ft 6" #4-5

Each of these rods is quite different from the others, but, to my mind,
their stress curves are all parabolic.
You might characterize the Grainger as soggy pajama legs but you might wet
your pajamas over the power of the Para-15!
A number of people on the list have made the Para-15 taper and rave about
it. I have the granger and find it to be a very friendly rod which doesn't
let me down even when I get a bit sloppy casting. I expect that several
people on the list could provide comments on the tapers listed above.
