Paradise Springs is a large spring pond maintained by the Wisconsin DNR
near Eagle WI in the Southern Unit of the Kettle Moraine State Forest.
It holds large brown, brook and rainbow trout. Fishing is strictly
catch and release, barbless artificials only, and is open from January 1
through September 30. Small flies such as midges, Griffith's Gnats,
and scuds work well year around, and occasionally small leech patterns
will attract fish. Ants and other small terrestrials can work well in
the summer.
A float tube can be used or you can fish from shore. There is
a fishing platform ideal for people with limited mobility, or you
can just watch the trout cruise by and ignore your flies.
Taking Hwy 59 west out of Eagle, after a mile turn North on Highway N
and watch for the parking area after another mile. You will need a
State Park sticker to park in the lot.
