Re Dickerson 8013 3piece - channer

There is no original 3pc version of the 8013, Dickerson's 3 pc tapers
are completely diferent from his 2 pc, as are 2 and 3 pc tapers from
almost all the upper end makers. They used the step down inherent in the
style of ferrule they used as part of the taper, a step down in the
middle of the rod makes for a different action than one with 2 step
downs at 1/3 and 2/3's of the length. If you want to look at a couple of
Dickerson 3 pc tapers, go to www.clarksclassicrodsforums and search back
in the "tapers" forum, the 801510 and 801611 are both listed there.
